Are We Prepared?
Despite hurricanes rocking our shores, Tsunami’s nearly swallowing whole countries in the South Pacific, tornadoes, forest fires and the like, it seems Americans have failed to learn a valuable lesson about preparedness.

According to a poll on emergency preparedness conducted by Adelphi University…

  • 44% of Americans don’t have first aid kits in their home
  • 48% lack basic emergency supplies in case of a catastrophe
  • 52% have not prepared a family meeting place
  • 53% don’t have at least three days of non-perishable food

As you can see, everyone would do well to keep in mind what you might need in case of a natural, economic of end of the world type disaster. If you want to know more about how you can protect yourself and your family from perishing in the aftermath of said disasters, www.Ready.gov has some great tips and resources.
