If a personal finance blog has been around since 2007 and is still being continuously updated with valuable information, you just know it’s worth checking out. This week we will take a look at Being Frugal, run by Lynnae McCoy.
Mother of two children and married for 14 years, Lynnae started her blog for the same reason many other personal finance writers do: she wanted to get out of debt and saw the site as a way to help her keep track. Her and her husband had accumulated some debt and worked hard to pay it off, and they want to inspire others to do the same. If they can do it, you can too, she writes on her site.

Being Frugal is one of those sites that was around at the beginning of the PF niche and it’s really great to see that it is still being published. With articles like 168 Money Saving Tips to Stretch Your Dollar and My Experience Buying a Used Car with Cash (they always buy their cars in cash), readers will always find topics relevant to their own lives and personal finance habits.
If you aren’t reading Being Frugal yet, you are most certainly missing out. Head on over and tell Lynnae we sent you and that we love her blog!
